Putnam Fire was dispatched to Interstate 40 around the 272 East for a semi fire late yesterday (Monday) afternoon.

Upon arrival crews found the tractor portion fully involved in fire; a quick attack was made and crews were able to gain control within minutes.

No injuries were reported, it is unknown what caused the fire.

Traffic was impacted for the duration of the incident.
