QUINCE ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASSING

Yesterday Crossville Police Units responded to Underwood Street for a report of a burglary in progress. Lieutenant Jared South arrived at the residence and made contact with the victim to gather information about the suspect to relay to other officers in the area.

The victim said he was notified of motion by a camera in his carport structure and saw a person attempting to steal from a cabinet near the entrance door to the home.

Upon reviewing the footage Lieutenant South observed a male subject wearing a mask, blue jeans, black Adidas shoes with white accents, and what appeared to be a gray shirt with a black vest over the top and a backpack.

The homeowner said there was nothing inside of the cabinet to steal.

While on scene, a male subject walked by the residence towards Main Street matching the description of what was seen on the video. Lieutenant South made contact with the suspect and was able to confirm it was the same person from the video.

The subject was identified as Frank Quince who was detained and mirandaized. Quince claimed he was going to put a rock inside of the cabinet and wasn’t going to steal anything. During Lieutenant South’s interview, Quince admitted to entering the property without permission and opening the cabinet. He called it a mistake.

The homeowner wished to prosecute Quince for criminal trespassing, and Quince was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking.
