The weekend starts sunny and 88 degrees but showers and thunder showers are likely on Sunday and again Monday and the high temperature Monday only in the upper 70s. Quite a change from what we have seen recently.

Storms this time of year produce lots of cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and while it can be lots of fun to watch the electrical display of a distant thunderstorm, it can be dangerous if you get up close and personal. If you can hear thunder, then it is close enough to strike. When thunder roars, go indoors! Stop all outdoor activities and seek shelter in a building or hard-topped vehicle.
