RAIN THURSDAY, LOVELY 4TH

Showers and thunderstorms are coming Thursday and Thursday night and into Friday morning but then moving out by late in the day on Friday and that sets the stage for a beautiful July 4th weekend. Heavy rain and a few heavy thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Thursday night and I will be keeping you updated on radar throughout the day. Saturday through Monday is looking Sunny with lower humidity and high temperatures in the 70s on Saturday but climbing into the mid-to-upper 80s by Monday. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. What can beat baked beans, hot dogs and a cold drink followed by beautiful fireworks. It is a day of celebration for the entire family. From now through August is the lightning season in Tennessee. It was just back in 2018 that Tennessee had three fatalities. A man near Kingston in Roane county was killed while mowing his lawn and another man that lived in West Tennessee was also mowing, a seven year old boy in West Tennessee was also struck while playing under a tree. Stay inside if you can hear thunder and stay away from electrical appliances. When you see lightning start counting until you hear thunder and then divide that number by five and that tells you how many miles away the storm is. If you count to 30 the storm is 6 Miles away
