RAIN TOTALS AND SNOW

I have been going over all of the rain totals reported from rain gauges all across the state the past 3 days and here is what I found. The highest rainfall total is Lynchburg with 8 inches down in Moore County. 7 inches recorded in Sequatchie and Bledsoe counties and also in the Farragut area of Knox County. 6 and a half inches in Fentress and Putnam counties. 6 in Anderson and Morgan counties. 4 to 6 inches fell across Cumberland County. Wednesday was an amazing day and night of heavy rainfall and flooding and thunderstorms across Tennessee. You are just not going to believe what I’m going to tell you now, lots more rain is coming next week and there could be two to four more inches.!!! We have rain chances it looks like everyday next week.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until noon on Friday, we could see enough snow late tonight and Friday morning for some slick spots so drive carefully. Low temperatures will dip into the upper 20s to low 30s. I will be with you tonight and early in the morning keeping you updated on this system so stay tuned. We get back into mild weather next week with highs in the 50s returning.
