RAPE INVESTIGATION IN PUTNAM COUNTY LEADS TO ARREST IN ARKANSAS
From Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:
On August 24th, 2024, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were notified that an adult male had climbed into a 13-year-old female’s bedroom window and allegedly forced the girl to have sex. Detectives immediately began to investigate. During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, 24-year-old Juan Ivan Ramirez-Alvarez, was in a relationship with the victim and had snuck into the home to have sex with her.
While detectives were trying to obtain a positive identification, the suspect fled to Arkansas, where Detective Sergeant Mark Boyer later located him. A warrant was obtained and U.S. Marshals arrested Mr. Ramirez-Alvarez in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
PCSO Warrants Division responded to Siloam Springs, AR, and transported Ramirez Alvirez back to the Putnam County Jail. Ramirez-Alvarez is charged with one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape and has a $150,000 bond.
