Saturday night at the Tennessee Republican Party’s annual Statesman’s Dinner in Nashville, Congressman John Rose named Rebecca and Allen Foster as the Sixth Congressional District Statesmen of the Year.

Allen Foster stated “Rebecca and I have gone to many of these events over the years. You have likely seen the pictures. Neither of us thought we would be on that stage. I must admit that when Congressman Rose called and told me about the award, I wondered why I was included. Rebecca, yes, she earned it. But tonight at dinner, before we took the stage, he told me that they had talked a lot about this internally and he felt that it was best to honor us both. He said Rebecca and I were a team and he came to know Rebecca because of me. He said he truly believed Rebecca would have wanted it this way. Thank you Congressman Rose and thank you Rebecca. We truly were a great team. It was an awesome ride.”
