RECALL CONTINUES FOR HONEY SMACKS CEREAL

The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall update on Honey Smacks cereal, saying those who have it should not eat or buy the cereal and throw it away as soon as possible.

The cereal has been linked to 130 lab-confirmed illnesses including salmonella in 34 states with 34 hospitalizations. Tennessee is included in that list.

Kellogg’s Honey Smacks was originally recalled in June 2018. According to the CDC, they have continued to receive reports of illnesses.

The cereal in question has a “BEST if Used By Date” of June 14, 2018 through June 14, 2019.

According to the FDA, retailers can not legally sell the cereal as well, and anyone selling the cereal should be reported.
