Cumberland County High School held a reception yesterday afternoon for the newest indictee into the schools hall of fame,  J.D. Atkinson.

Atkinson is a 1961 graduate of Clarkrange High School and Tennessee Tech. He served as an assistant principal at CCHS as well as an assistant coach for the boys and girls basketball team. He also was a cheerleading coach, vocational director and sponsored the DECA Club and Pathfinders.

Atkinson was honored during the homecoming football game last Friday night when the Jets hosted Clay County.
