Outstanding work by Community Engagement Response Team officers, who located and stopped a car on Chapman Highway on Monday afternoon. The car was connected to a reported robbery that happened early Monday morning at the Red Roof Inn on Central Avenue Pike.
Officers stopped the car in the 3900 block of Chapman Highway. The driver, 29-year-old Matthew Bryson, and passenger, 26-year-old Mackenzie Weaver, were detained. Both were identified as possible suspects through continued investigation and collaboration between Field Operations officers.
After being questioned by KPD detectives, both Bryson and Weaver were charged with robbery from the incident at the Red Roof Inn.
