Reece Abbott is currently serving as the Assistant Chief for the West Roane County Volunteer Fire Department and will assume the role of Fire Chief beginning in June. He has been involved in the fire service since childhood, often spending time at the stations with family and friends who were firefighters. This early exposure inspired him to pursue the profession as a career, where he has served full-time for five years in addition to four years as a volunteer.

WRCVFD says Reece chose this path because he is deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in the community, advancing within the fire service, and helping those around him develop and perform at a higher level.

The department expressed gratitude for his strong dedication and bravery.
