REGIONAL VOTERS WILL CHOOSE NEW PRESIDENT, CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS & LIQUOR-BY-THE-DRINK

It happens once every four years and today is the day. Today’s Federal, State and Municpal Election is expected to garner a big turnout as the early voting numbers set recent records. Voters will elect a new president from two candidates, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton. Neither have been strangers to controversy all of their political lives. Seats are also up for federal and state house representatives. Locally, city council and aldermen seats will be up for grabs. And while Harriman residents will vote on a sales tax referendum, Oliver Springs citizens will look at approving or rejecting a liquor-by-the-drink referendum. In Cumberland County, polls will be open from 8 AM-7 PM. In Roane County, polls will be open from 8 AM-8 PM EST. Please remember, you must go to your precinct to vote today, and not the Election Commission Office. For precicnt information in Cumberland County call 931-484-4919. In Roane County, call 865-376-3184.
