REPORTED ROAD RAGE INCIDENT ENDS WITH SHOTS FIRED

A road rage incident Tuesday in Cumberland County led to shots fired. The report from the sheriff’s department released today states a male in his early 30’s was traveling on I-40 in Putnam County and got into an altercation with a driver of a vehicle. The victim on the motorcycle was followed as he got off at Exit 311 (Plateau Road) and later turned off on a road and into the driveway of his home. The assailant then stopped, discharged a firearm multiple times towards the victim and left the area. Officers recovered three 9mm shell casings in the roadway. No charges were filed because the aggressor could not be identified.
