RESCUE SQUAD LOCATES MISSING KAYAKERS ON DADDY’S CREEK
The Cumberland County Rescue Squad responded around 8:30 p.m. last night to Daddy’s Creek close to a sight known as Devil’s Breakfast Table for two missing kayakers. The sheriff’s department confirmed they were last seen around 12:30 p.m. yesterday. The rescue squad, officers with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency searched all night assisted this morning by Morgan County rescue and Christian Aid Ministries. Crews looked on both sides and in the river. The kayakers were found around 9 a.m. this morning. Officials say they are both in good health after a long night of being exposed to flooding and severe thunderstorms. No further information, including their identities, was released.
