REWARD OFFERED FOR CAPTURE OF TWO THAT ESCAPED JUVENILE CENTER

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is announcing a $1000 reward for information leading to the capture of 16-year-old Abraham Augustin and 16-year-old Memphis Smith.

Both juveniles escaped from the Bradley County Juvenile Detention Center last Friday night.

Smith was being held on an aggravated rape charge, accused of attacking a Lee University student on campus. Smith is an African-American male. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Smith is 133 pounds and 5’5”.

Augustin faces an attempted second-degree murder charge. Augustin is described as an African-American male. He has brown eyes, black hair, weighs 140 pounds and stands 6’1”.

The two were seen on surveillance cameras at Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga over the weekend but could be anywhere in the area. They supposedly stole a vehicle shortly after their escape from the juvenile center.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
