RHEA COUNTY JURY INDICTS 2 MEN IN CHILD SEX ABUSE CASES
Rhea County Grand Jury Indicts 2 Men in unrelated cases involving sexual abuse of children.
In June of 2024 Investigators from the Department of Children’s Services and Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Detective, Rocky Potter, began investigating a possible child sexual abuse case. The investigators and the District Attorney’s Office of the 12th Judicial District determined that there was enough evidence to present to a jury of their peers. Last week, the Grand Jury determined that the evidence was sufficient to present x2 counts of Sexual Battery by Authority Figure against Daniel Willis. Willis remains in the custody of the Rhea County Jail on a $150,000 bond. He is currently awaiting trial.
In July of 2024, the Department of Children’s Services and Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Detective, Rocky Potter, began investigating a possible child sexual abuse case. Investigators and the District Attorney’s Office of the 12th Judicial District presented the evidence to the Rhea County Grand Jury last week where they issued an indictment on Jamie L. Jordan for x3 counts of Rape of a Child and Aggravated Sexual Battery. Jordan remains in the custody of the Rhea County Jail on a $750,000 bond. He is currently awaiting trial.
