Public Notice: We have been made aware of a scam call happening in our area. A man is calling from a local area code with the last 4 digits of 8961 and is identifying himself as Lieutenant Keith Myers from the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department. He claims to be collecting a fine on behalf of our Chief Deputy and is threatening jail time if you do not comply.

THIS IS A SCAM.

We do not have a Lieutenant Keith Myers at our department and would never contact you about unpaid fines in this manner. Do not give him any personal information.
