Richard Wayne Bowman, age 73, of Harriman, passed away December 22, 2020 at Roane Medical Center. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Wayne was a U.S. Army Veteran. He attended from Tennessee Tech and while at Tennessee Tech, Wayne was a member of Theta Tau (Engineering Fraternity). Wayne worked as a Civil Engineer in serval nuclear plants throughout his career. He was an official for TSSAA basketball for several years. Wayne was a professional photographer. He was a drummer and played in many bands. He enjoyed bowling. Wayne loved his animals and the University of Tennessee Athletics. He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Pamela G. Bowman of Harriman; son: James S. McClurkan (Renee) of Ellisville, Mississippi; daughter: Meredith Brown (Josh) of Harriman; and granddaughters: Chloe Watkins (Nick) of Cullman, Alabama, Emily McClurkan and Fiancé Josh Wilson of Cullman, Alabama, and Amelia Brown of Harriman.
