Sterling Brent Robinson, age 90, of Ten Mile, passed away December 23, 2020. He was a 24- year Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served on both ships and submarines. Mr. Robinson was a member of the U.S. Submarines Veterans Holland Club. Sterling retired from the Sweetwater City Fire Department. Sterling loved fishing on the Watts Bar lake with his friends. He was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church, of Sweetwater, and Lakeside Baptist Church, of Ten Mile. He was a member of the Sweetwater Valley Lodge # 280 of the I.O.O.F. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mart and Rachel Watts Robinson; uncle and aunt that raised him: Joe and Edna Wilson; and wife: Mary Sue Roy Robinson. Survivors include his special friend and family: Rosemary Todd of Ten Mile, Tracy and Bob McCann of Sweetwater, and Tiffany McCosh of Sweetwater; grandchildren: Kayce (Matt) Loomis, Robert (Susan) McCann, Kassidy (Isaac) Sparks, Alexis McCosh, Dylan (Marjorie) McCosh, Maddie McCosh, Gabe McCosh, Laila Kimpson, and Major Kimpson; great-grandchildren: Kendall McCosh, Trenton Loomis, Ava Grace and Oakley Sparks, Harper and Maddox McCosh; and a host of special friends. The family will have a private service.
