RIDENOUR CAPTURED, SEARCH CONTINUES FOR KENNEDY

Shortly after being added to the TBI 10 Most Wanted list late last night, authorities captured 22-year-old Casey Ridenour in Fentress County. A second inmate who escaped, 35-year-old Charles Kennedy, remains at large as of 5:30 a.m. this morning.

The search this morning centered in the Commerce Drive/Woodlawn Drive/County Road areas near Jamestown.

Kennedy stands 6’4, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. He has a beard and possibly wearing glasses.

Both suspects from Roane County were being held in the Fentress County jail when the escape took place yesterday morning. They reportedly stole a correction officers vehicle and later abandoned it just outside of Jamestown.

A grand jury in Roane County last month indicted 21-year-old Casey Lee Ridenour for second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. The charges stem from an incident last December after the body of 37-year-old Aaron Reed Brown of the Daysville community was found in the Little Emory River.

Kennedy was being held on multiple charges including burglary, theft and vandalism.

If you see Kennedy, do not approach him and call 911 to report his position.
