RIVERBEND INMATES FIGHTING COLD TEMPS AFTER BOILER GOES OFF-LINE
Officials at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution are breaking out the portable heaters and extra blankets in an attempt to keep employees and inmates warm during the frigid weather. The Tennessee Dept. of Correction says that the facility’s main heating source went out on New Year’s Day. According to reports, when the institution lost hot water pressure, its boiler went off-line. Officials and Maintenance crews are assessing the problem, but there has been no word as to when repairs will get started
