RIVERFRONT PARK IN HARRIMAN DAMAGED FROM FLOOD

Harriman City Mayor Wayne Best toured Riverfront Park this morning to see first-hand the damage caused from the flood yesterday. The park runs along the Emory River and at one point the river came over the banks and the water level was over the fountain in the park. The fire department memorial sustained damage as part of it went into the river after the banks it was on collapsed. Water also covered the playground damaging the special ground padding. Mayor Best said it will take a few days to fully assess the damage done to Riverfront Park.
