Harriman Parks and Recreation Director Charles Jones approached the Harriman City Council last night about closing Riverfront Park at 11 p.m each night and opening back up at 5 a.m. The council agreed so starting this Monday (September 9, 2019), the park will be gated and closed during those hours. The reason was in part from recent vandalism and the possibly of night time illegal drug activity. Signs will be posted at the entrance for Riverfront Park indicating the closed hours.
