RIVES ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND THEFT

Cumberland County deputies went to the 200 block of Keyes Road yesterday for a burglary. While on the way, dispatch notified them the suspect, 20-year-old Zachary Allen Rives of Crossville, left on foot. Law enforcement caught him at the 2,200 block of Plateau Road and took him back to the scene. A witness stated she confronted Rives and he kicked in her front door, stole her phone charger and truck keys. Rives reportedly took the vehicle but brought it back. He was arrested for aggravated burglary and theft of property. Officers transported him to jail where he was initially placed under a total bond of $8,000.
