ROAD RAGE ON LANTANA ALMOST TURNS DEADLY

Yesterday, Lake Tansi Police Department stopped a black Chrysler car for a road rage incident and requested City police to respond where the incident occurred. Officer Keyton Harthun arrived on scene and spoke with the driver of the Chrysler who said he was traveling outbound on Lantana Road when a white truck pulled out of Ace Hardware and cut him off.
He said he had to swerve around him to avoid striking the truck and as they were traveling down Lantana, the driver of the white truck was tailgating him and honking his horn.
When they got to the intersection of Dunbar and Lantana, the driver of the white truck exited his vehicle and came up to the Chrysler aggressively. The driver of the Chrysler pulled an old revolver out of his glove box and told the man “If you come closer, I’m going to do something to you!”.
The officer then went to speak with the driver of the white truck and was able to identify him.
The truck driver said that he left Ace Hardware and the black Chrysler almost struck him. He said he didn’t tailgate but was following behind him and honking his horn. And when they got to the intersection, the driver of the black Chrysler put it in park so he exited his vehicle and approached the black car.
He claims that as he approached the Chrysler, he saw a firearm and then retreated to his truck which is when the Black Chrysler left.
After speaking with both parties and advising the truck driver about him exiting the vehicle putting the driver of the Chrysler in fear, he didn’t wish to speak anymore about the incident and refused any further investigation or prosecution.
No charges were filed, and no arrests were made.
Since there were no charges filed, no parties will be named.
