The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has a project underway in Cumberland County for resurfacing and safety improvements on a 3.5‑mile section of Highway 70 in Pleasant Hill. It runs from Arthur Seagraves Road to near Woodridge Lane. The contractor for the $ 463,135 project is Rogers Group, Inc. and the completion date is on or before June 30, 2021. In addition to resurfacing the roadway, the contractor will add a turn lane at the Dollar General store and install signs, pavement markings and guardrail as needed. After construction signs are installed, the contractor will be performing construction activities that may require temporary lane closures. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Drivers are urged to be patient and use caution in the work zone.
