A home caught fire just before midnight Sunday at 608 Dickey Valley Road causing substantial damage to the structure, and the fire at the home near Sportmas Club Road rekindled sending Fire agencies back to the scene around 11 am today The exact cause is still under investigation but Red Cross personnel were called last night to assist the family with a place to stay. No one was injured. Numerous Volunteer Agencies from Roane County were sent to help Blair Volunteer Fire with the batteling of the fire during a very cold early morning and they were on the scene till after 2 am today. Roane County Road personnel were also asked to bring salt for the icey roadway as well.
