The Roane Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Meet the Candidates event this Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. on the Roane State Harriman Campus in the Vann Student Center. The forum will feature political candidates running for various offices across Roane County, giving voters a chance to hear directly from them just before early voting begins on April 15th.

In addition, Rockwood 2000 will hold a public candidate forum on Monday, April 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Rockwood City Hall (110 W. Chamberlain Street). This event will focus on candidates for several key Roane County positions in the May 6th election, including County Executive, County Trustee, County Clerk, Sheriff, and County Commission District 1. Candidates will be grouped by office and participate in a moderated question-and-answer session.

Both events are free and open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend to become better informed before casting their ballots.
