ROANE COUNTY COMMISSION TO MEET ON MONDAY
The Roane County Commission has finalized the agenda for its upcoming regular session, scheduled for Monday, June 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the commission meeting room at the Roane County Courthouse in Kingston. Open to the public, the meeting will cover a diverse range of county business.
Personnel matters include voting on the reappointment of Christina Brannon, Lee Cates, Cecil Crowe, and Donna Davis to the County Board of Equalization, alongside the new appointment of Ted Perry and alternate member Glenda Johnson.
Under new business, County Executive Wade Creswell will seek approval for a vehicle storage rental agreement with John and Vicki Loden at a rate of $2,500.00 per month. Additionally, at the request of Sheriff Jack Stockton, the commission will vote on a resolution allowing retiring sheriff’s deputies with 15 years of good standing to retain their service pistols, in accordance with state law.
Other key resolutions on the table include authorizing an interlocal agreement with local municipalities for services, approving a five-year contract with Taylor Telecom Solutions, greenlighting the sale of county-owned tax properties, and considering several budget amendments across various county departments.
