Yesterday morning, Roane County Office of Emergency Services units were dispatched to a rekindle of a structure fire in the Midtown area. Upon arrival, the RCOES Fire Division team began the attack and requested additional water supply for the drop tank for an efficient water attack. Assistance was also requested from the Roane County Highway Department to bring in heavy equipment to assist in the removal of debris and a leaning wall to allow firefighters to be able to reach the initial fire safely. Special thanks to the Midtown Volunteer Fire Department and South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department for providing water supply and to the Roane County Highway Department for assisting with the heavy equipment. Our thoughts continue to go out to the residents affected by this loss.
