ROANE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLATION OF BOND CONDITIONS

Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Roane County deputies spoke with a resident about her husband, 53-year-old Daniel Walter Devrieze, having violated his bond restrictions by texting her all day and making threats.

While deputies were en route to speak with Devrieze, Central Dispatch alerted them the wife was calling in, stating Devrieze was outside her residence.

Before they could get there, deputies were informed Devrieze had left the home.

Deputies intercepted his vehicle on River Road at Highway 58 and initiated a traffic stop. Devrieze admitted having texted his wife “a few times.” He also admitted having been at the residence, but claimed he’d gone there to drop off food for his son.

Devrieze was charged with DUI and three counts of violation of bond conditions. As of late this afternoon, he is still in Roane County jail.
