Roane County deputies responded to a home on Black Jack Road after a woman was threatened by her husband with a knife. Officers learned 42-year-old Joshua Ryan Lee McPherson fled the scene prior to their arrival. The report states McPherson allegedly  hit the female in the face, attempted to drag her out of a window then pulled out a knife and held it to her throat. Rockwood police later located McPherson on Highway 27. He was arrested for aggravated assault and taken to the Roane County jail.
