ROANE COUNTY RESCUE SQUADS CONDUCT ADVANCED BIG RIG RESCUE TRAINING
Local emergency responders recently braved intense summer heat and heavy rainfall to complete a rigorous weekend training focused on heavy-vehicle extraction.
The Roane County Rescue Squad teamed up with the Roane County Office of Emergency Services & Homeland Security, the Rockwood Fire Department, and the Monroe County Rescue Squad for the collaborative drill. Instructors and training resources were provided by the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads (TARS) to help local personnel sharpen their heavy-rescue capabilities.
Organizers expressed gratitude to local industry partners, including Lowe’s Tow’s for providing the property and equipment, and Skelly’s Towing for ongoing support. The operations were documented by photographers The Real Benny Braden and Rescue Company Media.
Participating agencies emphasized that the intense weekend drills align with their core motto: “Train hard. Stay ready. Serve our community.”
