ROANE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD SCHEDULES PUBLIC MEETINGS ON FUTURE FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
By Dudley Evans –
The Roane County Board of Education will hold two informational public meetings next week to discuss potential future renovations and facility improvements across county schools. The sessions are scheduled for Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roane State Community College in Harriman. Attendees should proceed to Entrance A of the O’Brien Building.
The meetings will be led by representatives from MGT, the consulting firm retained by the school board to evaluate county school facilities and formulate initial plans for upcoming renovation phases. During each session, MGT officials will present their preliminary findings and priority recommendations while inviting community members to share feedback, ask questions, and raise concerns regarding school infrastructure.
School officials stress that these events are designed solely for public engagement and information sharing, clarifying that no formal votes or decisions regarding renovation plans will take place during either session. Additionally, Roane County schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, in observance of Election Day.
