Several thousands of gallons of fuel were lost yesterday after a valve malfunctioned at the Roane County School bus garage.

Sources say Hazmat and Emergency Operations Center trucks arrived on the scene to try and keep the fuel in a condensed area. However, later a cleanup crew had to be sent out to assist and finish the cleanup work. No injuries were reported.

The incident occurred just before noon on Thursday.
