ROANE COUNTY WOMAN HONORED FOR SAVING MAN’S LIFE DURING HOUSE FIRE

The Roane County Commission this week honored Anna Dobos for her heroic actions in saving a man’s life last month. Dobos was on her way to work at Roane Medical Center when she noticed what she believed to be a home on fire on Half Moon Shores Road. She stopped and found the entire back of the residence engulfed in flames. Dobos went to a home next door, borrowed a hammer and used it to gain access into the home on fire. Dobos was able to safely get 85-year-old Leroy Hallcox out of the residence. Dobos was presented a resolution by the commission this week for her actions.
