ROANE FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO OLD SUDDATH LANE STRUCTURE FIRE

The Blair Volunteer Fire Department recently extended its sincere gratitude to several local agencies following their collaborative response to a severe emergency. When a structure fire broke out on Old Suddath Lane, the building was already fully involved—meaning flames had completely engulfed the property. Recognizing the scale of the incident, multiple emergency teams rallied together to provide mutual aid. Firefighting crews from the West Roane County, East Roane County, and Midtown 1st District Volunteer Fire Departments rushed to the scene to assist Blair firefighters in suppressing the intense blaze.

Beyond fire suppression, the incident required a massive, coordinated effort from various county services to ensure public safety and operational efficiency. The Roane County Office of Emergency Services & Homeland Security and the Roane County Sheriff’s Office provided vital scene management, traffic control, and logistical support. Simultaneously, Roane County EMS stood by to offer medical protection for both the responders and any civilians involved, while the Harriman Utility Board worked to secure utility lines and eliminate potential hazards.

Thanks to the seamless teamwork and rapid assistance of these departments, the high-stakes situation was managed safely and effectively.
