In the July 2025 edition of “The Rundown” from Roane County Mayor Wade Creswell, several key updates highlight the county’s ongoing efforts to enhance operations and community services.

Eddi Goldston has been officially appointed as Assistant Director of Accounts and Budgets, leveraging her experience since joining the Accounting Department in 2022 to support long-term financial goals alongside Budget Director Jennifer Hasbrouck.

The county welcomed Reggie Hucks as the new Building Official, set to begin in October, bringing extensive experience from North Carolina, with Taylor Pulver serving as Acting Building Official in the interim to ensure smooth project continuity.

Discussions are underway with the City of Kingston to transfer maintenance of 4th Street, between the courthouse and old jail, to county control.

The county mourns the loss of Magistrate Kathy Mount, a 30-year veteran whose contributions were instrumental in achieving jail certification for the first time in 12 years.
