ROANE OFFICIALS RESPOND TO SEVERAL ACCIDENTS

Kingston Fire Department ran to a two-vehicle accident on westbound I-40 near mile marker 356 Saturday morning around 8:30.
Only slight injuries occurred according to Kingston Fire Chief Willie Gordon.
Gordon said they also ran a call Saturday afternoon just after 12:30 to a person was cutting a tree down on James Ferry Road, with the tree striking the man. He had to be taken to the hospital.
Friday afternoon, several accidents on I-40 west of Harriman brought traffic down to one lane for several hours as a multi-vehicle accident had to be cleared, with another one around 4:00 p.m. occurring westbound just across the Clinch River bridge with slight injuries. This incident reduced traffic to one lane as well.
