ROANE SCHOOL BOARD TO VOTE ON LIVE STREAMING MEETINGS AT OCT. 23 SESSION
The Roane County Board of Education is scheduled to meet on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Williams Administration Building, located at the corner of Bluff Road and Highway 70 in Kingston. The meeting includes a significant agenda item regarding the potential live streaming of school board meetings, which may be voted on.
County Commissioner Junior Hendrickson has been advocating for live streaming, stating at a recent county commission meeting that he would not support any Board of Education proposals until meetings are made available online for public viewing.
The board discussed this topic in September and has now included it on this month’s agenda. Other items on the agenda include consideration of a property purchase, a request for quotes for capital planning services, and approval of budget amendments.
