BBBTV12 – OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Residents in the west end of Oak Ridge may hear or feel a brief rumble this afternoon as contractors at BWXT conduct scheduled rock blasting operations.

According to officials, the blasting is not expected to cause any noticeable impact, but the City of Oak Ridge is issuing a precautionary notice to keep residents informed.

The activity is part of ongoing work at the BWXT facility, and while no disruptions are anticipated, nearby residents may hear a loud boom or feel a minor shake during the process.
