ROCKER JERRY LEE LEWIS RECUPERATING FROM STROKE
Rock-A-Billy pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis is recovering from a minor stroke. A statement from his publicist says the 83-year-old rocker had the stroke Thursday night. He is recuperating in Memphis and is expected to make a full recovery. Lewis, who was nicknamed “The Killer”, was known for his outrageous stage antics while playing the piano to such hits as “Great Balls of Fire” and Whole Lotta Shakin”.
