ROCKWOOD CELL SERVICE RESTORED AFTER MAJOR OUTAGE IMPACTING AT&T, T-MOBILE, AND VERIZON
Most of Rockwood experienced a loss of cell phone service—particularly the ability to make calls—beginning around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon and continuing well into the evening, with restoration occurring around 9:30 p.m. No official statement has been released by Verizon at this time.
Yesterday, Anderson County Government reported receiving notification of an outage affecting AT&T service in the area. The disruption primarily impacted customers with AT&T or T-Mobile phone service and also affected phone lines at the Anderson County Courthouse.
While some calls are currently able to connect incoming or outgoing, others—depending on the service provider—may still be unable to reach courthouse offices until the outage is fully resolved.
