Rockwood Police attempted to pull a vehicle over which sped away from an officer on Gateway Ave., leading officers on a high-speed chase South on Gateway onto Highway 70 West into Cumberland County.

After noticing the vehicle traveling recklessly and at high speed, the pursuit ended near Crab Orchard where Rockwood officers were told to end the pursuit.

No further information was given at the time.

Assuming Cumberland County will be looking for the vehicle, this occurred around 12:15 this afternoon.
