ROCKWOOD CITY COUNCIL MEETING ROUNDUP

At the Rockwood City Council meeting Monday evening, councilors put their final approval on new laws regulating bed-and-breakfast establishments and homestays within the city of Rockwood. The council also accepted a low bid from Bargere and Sons not to exceed $300,000 on the repair work on the ongoing Tarwater Street repair project.

The Council also passed a resolution appointing Jeff Pinley to fill the unexpired term of Aylor Evans on the Rockwood Board of Waterworks, Sewerage and Natural Gas. Evans moved out of town and could no longer sit on the board.

And finally, the Council authorized a resolution allowing Mayor Miller to enter into a nine-year lease-purchase agreement with Leasing 2, Inc., to finance a Sutphen Custom SP70 aerial firetruck for $397,764.16.
