ROCKWOOD COUNCIL MEMBERS TO BE SWORN IN AT DEC. 2ND MEETING
This coming Monday, December 2nd at 12 p.m., The Rockwood City Council will meet in a special-called meeting to swear in three recently elected council members, who won their seats in the November elections.
Mayor Jason Jolly will swear in new council Representatives Robert ‘Bobby’ Anderson, Paul “Coach K” Kamikawa, and April Foust Wilson.
Wilson won her bid for reelection while Anderson, who served several years ago, is coming back to the council, and Kamikawa will take a seat at the council for the first time. Kamikawa currently sits on the Rockwood Water, Sewer, and Gas board.
After the swearing-in, the protocol will be to appoint members of council to boards. First up, a resolution appointing Councilman Mike Reed to a two-year term as vice mayor, then a resolution appointing Kamikawa to a four-year term representing the Rockwood Regional Planning commission and the Rockwood board of zoning appeals, a resolution appointing James Knuckles Jr. to fill the unexpired term of Paul Kamikawa on the Rockwood Water Board, and a resolution appointing April Foust Wilson to a 3-year term on the Rockwood Library Board.
These are all part of Monday’s swearing-in ceremony at 12:00 noon at City Hall in Rockwood. The public are welcome to attend.
