ROCKWOOD F.D.P. RESPONDS TO DOUGLAS AVENUE MOBILE HOME FIRE

On Sunday night, just before 10:00 p.m., the Rockwood Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire on South Douglas Avenue, at the corner of Francis and South Douglas. Rockwood Police also arrived at the scene and informed fire officials that the trailer was fully engulfed.
Through a mutual aid agreement, the Rockwood Fire Department requested assistance from the Harriman Fire Department, which sent a truck to the scene. According to Fire Chief Matt Crabtree, the mobile home was unoccupied at the time, though the owner, Steven Marnie, was remodeling it and had electricity connected.
The cause of the fire is currently undetermined, and Chief Crabtree noted that the mobile home was uninsured. He expressed gratitude to the Harriman Fire Department, Rockwood Police, and an EMS unit for their assistance. Fire crews remained on the scene until approximately 11:30 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
