ROCKWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT RECIEVES $10,000 ANONYMOUS DONATION
The Rockwood Fire Department recently bolstered its emergency response capabilities thanks to a generous $10,000 anonymous donation. According to Fire Chief Matt Crabtree, the funds were used to purchase two new automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and a state-of-the-art thermal imaging camera—essential tools that play a vital role in the department’s life-saving missions. Chief Crabtree expressed deep gratitude for the contribution, noting that the new equipment will have an immediate positive impact on the safety of the Rockwood community.
Looking ahead, the department is also anticipating news regarding a potential grant from the State of Tennessee. If awarded, this additional funding would be directed toward further operational support and equipment upgrades, with more details expected in the coming weeks. On the day of the announcement, the department’s readiness was represented by Chief Crabtree alongside Lieutenant Mike Luttrell, Captain Chris McNeal, and firefighters Shawn Francis and Jason Kilby.
