ROCKWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO WALMART TWICE

Around 2:00 p.m. today, Rockwood Fire Department first responders and an ambulance were dispatched to the Walmart in Rockwood, where an unconscious person was reported inside the store. After assessing the individual, it was determined that a trip to the hospital was unnecessary, and the ambulance and first responders left the scene.
However, they had to return minutes later because a pedestrian was struck in the parking lot. The injured person was transported to Roane Medical Center for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The Rockwood Police Department is investigating the incident, and more details will be provided as soon as the report is finalized.
