A Roane County man is facing charges in Loudon County following a single vehicle accident. A deputy found a vehicle unoccupied on an embankment and started to look for the registered owner, 32-year-old Aaron Christopher Bennett of Rockwood. Officers found him about a mile from the vehicle walking on Martel Road. Bennett allegedly stated he was previously hiding in some bushes near the vehicle watching officers investigating the crash. Bennett was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, tampering with evidence, leaving the scene of accident with property damage and possession of drug paraphernalia.
